Warehouse Request Form

Please Note, warehouse requests will resume the week of January 4th. Thank you.

Overflow reference materials from the Main Library are housed off-site at our Allegheny Depository in the Allegheny Regional location on the North Side. The reference materials that are held there include books that are listed in The Catalog with the location of "Warehouse" and most periodical titles prior to 1970.

To access materials held at the Allegheny Depository (also called "The Warehouse"), you can either submit a request using the form below OR call 412-622-3142 to make an appointment to view the materials there. As always, you may also ask a librarian for assistance.

Once you've submitted a request, the materials will be sent to the Main Library in Oakland within 2 to 3 days. If the condition of the materials permits, some materials may be sent to a branch location for use. You will be notified by phone or email when the materials have arrived at your chosen location, where they can be held for up to a month, or longer by request.
