Meet the Author: Dementia Care Expert Rachael Wonderlin
Rachael Wonderlin is the author of When Someone You Know is Living in a Dementia Care Community, published by Johns Hopkins University Press. It was written as a companion piece to the popular book, The 36 Hour Day, also by Johns Hopkins. When Someone You Know covers important dementia caregiving topics, particularly those related to moving someone into a care community. Although Wonderlin addresses tips that can help any caregiver, she writes specifically for those who have a loved one in long-term care, or who are considering long-term care. The decision is a difficult one, and she seeks to ease some of that stress by addressing frequently asked questions about care communities. Wonderlin will talk about dementia care, answer questions, and tell stories about working in dementia care communities.
