Pittsburgh Arts and Lectures continues the Drue Heinz Lecture Series with the prolific mystery writer Lee Child. Child arrives at The Drue Heinz Lectures with a new Jack Reacher thriller (to be published October 19, 2010) featuring the former military policeman turned crime-solver, whose many fans are known as "Reacher Creatures." Lee Child is one of the most widely-read writer of mysteries in the world; there are more than 22 million copies of his books in print in forty countries and territories. Child will tell his personal story of publishing success, which began in 1995 at the age of forty, when he was fired from his job as the result of corporate restructuring. He decided to give writing a try and produced Killing Floor, which launched Jack Reacher and the series that has grown in popularity with every new installment. Should his fourteen-plus books be read in order? Come and find out the answer to that question!
