Join CCAC's Jeanne Bergad to discuss My Sister's Keeper, by Jodi Picoult. Published in 2004, My Sister’s Keeper is the story of 13-year old Anna, who has been giving blood and tissue all her life to her older sister, Kate. Kate suffers from acute promyelocytic leukemia, and when she faces kidney failure and needs a kidney donation from Anna, her young sister decides to sue their parents for medical emancipation. Nick Cassavetes directed the 2009 film version, which starred Abigail Breslin as Anna and also featured Cameron Diaz and Alec Baldwin.
