Writers Live @ CLP - Main: Nathaniel Philbrick
Thursday, May 16, 2013
6:00 PM
- 7:00 PM
Nathaniel Philbrick, the best-selling author of Mayflower and the National Book Award winner for In the Heart of the Sea, returns to Pittsburgh with Bunker Hill, which gives a visceral account of the battle that ignited the American Revolution. Bunker Hill lends a fresh perspective to the battle that brought war to the colonies in 1775, discovering new characters and bringing new light to familiar ones. Philbrick passionately reconstructs the revolutionary landscape in a mesmerizing narrative of the robust, messy, blisteringly real origins of America.
