Simone “Sheindel” Shapiro fell in love with photography in the early 70s as a student in San Francisco. She continued to study and practice photography and has had several one-woman photo shows. She has won prizes in a number of competitions, produced a photo book on Judaism and the mitzvahs, and had a story published in Chicken Soup for the Soul.
