The Tank Man

Tuesday, June 4, 2013
12:15 PM
DVD, 86 Minutes

"Frontline" examines the thousands of demonstrators who were driven from Tiananmen Square by heavily armed Chinese troops in June of 1989. The lasting image of the massacre, taken by a clandestine photo journalist, was of an unarmed protester who stood before a column of tanks moving down the Avenue of Eternal Peace. This single man became an inspiration for freedom around the world. Presented by PBS.
