The Labs @ CLP

Teens learn best when their learning is connected to their passions, desires and curiosities.

Teens can be content creators at the Library! The Labs is Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh's learning lab. This is a chance for teens to make a movie, build a robot, learn photography, create music and more. The Labs provides teens with access to equipment, software and mentors in an innovative learning environment with a focus on creativity and creation.

How The Labs works:

Workshops occur weekly at five locations. They are mentor-led, draw on the interests of teens and provide the necessary training to create something new. Workshops are informal, fun and drop-in friendly.

Open Lab is an opportunity to access equipment and software with available help from mentors.

Labs on Location is a workshop at a neighborhood location. Mentors and neighborhood location Teen Specialists provide workshops that draw on the interests of teens.
