First Floor Renovation of the Main Library
Andrew Carnegie believed strongly in the idea that knowledge and information should be "Free to the People," and put his resources firmly behind making that revolutionary concept a reality.
Today, Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh remains dedicated to that idea: people from every walk of life should have equal access to the world of information. The Allegheny Regional Asset District and the City of Pittsburgh join us in this effort.
In addition, we applaud the very skilled men and women who worked on this library: architects, carpenters, electricians, general contractor, laborers, masons, pipefitters, plumbers and subcontractors.
Congratulations on a job well done!
