Volunteer Opportunities

"It's important to me to do volunteer work that is challenging."

"It's very rewarding to help other seniors become part of the computing world."

If this sounds like you …

You may be interested in volunteering to serve as a coach or instructor for other seniors looking to expand their computer horizons.

SeniorNet, a "user-friendly" initiative of Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh and Lutheran Service Society is seeking volunteers to help with computer classes.

Who?

Individuals age 50 and older who are willing to help other seniors expand their computer skills. No previous computer experience is required, just a willingness to learn and share your knowledge with others.

What?

Volunteers typically commit 4 hours/week to teach computer classes, to assist with classes by coaching and encouraging students, or to help out in other ways. Complete training and support is provided by Lutheran Service Society and Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh.
