Q. Who is eligible to make an appointment?
A. This service is available to anyone, but please keep in mind that a valid library card from Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh or another public library in Allegheny County is needed to check out materials and to access databases from outside the Library. Some databases are limited to Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh cardholders.

Q. How long will my appointment last?
A. Appointments last between 30 – 60 minutes.
Q. Where will my appointment be? How do I make an appointment?
A. Complete the Book a Librarian form with as much information as possible. A member of our staff will get in touch with you as soon as possible to discuss your appointment needs. Appointments will be scheduled within one week of your request.
Q. I need to cancel my appointment, but I misplaced the information I received about how to do that. What should I do?
A. If you have misplaced the cancellation instructions you received from the librarian booking your appointment, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and provide as much detail about the time and place of your appointment as possible.
