The Iraq Study Group (ISG) is a ten-person bi-partisan panel appointed on March 15, 2006, by the United States Congress and charged with delivering an independent assessment of the situation in Iraq and the US-led Iraq War. More information on the Iraq Study Group is available from the United States Institute of Peace, an independent, nonpartisan, national institution established and funded by Congress that is the facilitator of the project.
