Classic Movie Mysteries:
The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes

The Copper Beeches
Violet Hunter applies for a position as governess, and her employer insists that she cut her hair. Before long Sherlock Holmes receives a panicked message from the girl, and must solve one of the most sinister puzzles he has ever faced. A 1984 television film.
The Crooked Man The Crooked Man
The servants of Colonel James Barclay and his wife Nancy hear arguing, then screams. When they go to investigate, they find the Colonel dead and his wife in a faint. Sherlock Holmes is called in to find out what happened to the Barclays that night, and whose unusual footprints are found outside their french windows.
The Final Problem
The Mona Lisa is stolen from the Louvre and the French government calls in Sherlock Holmes. Thus begins the final battle between Holmes and Professor Moriarty, culminating in their final meeting at Reichenbach Falls.
The Greek Interpreter
Holmes is asked by his brother, Mycroft, to untangle the mystery of "The Greek interpreter." The interpreter has a late night visitor demanding his services, who refuses to sign an unknown document
The Hound of the Baskervilles The Hound of the Baskervilles
Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson investigate the reappearance of a seemingly supernatural hound, bent on destroying the House of the Baskervilles in accordance with an ancient curse. This is the first of the fourteen Sherlock Holmes films starring Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce and is a classic (1939).
