Make sure you check out the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh's collection of Foreign Language Films in the Film and Audio Department of the Main Library

Film Festivals can often provide you with a list of interesting independent and foreign films.

  • Braddock Films
    This is Tony Buba's website. Since 1974, Braddock Films (a.k.a. Tony Buba) has made over twenty films, primarily chronicling the people of Braddock, PA. This site has information on some of those films. In 1998, Pittsburgh Center for the Arts designated Tony Buba "Artist of the Year".

    • FolkStreams

      The mission of Folkstreams.net is to build a national preserve of documentary films about American folk or roots culture. Produced by independent filmmakers, these hard-to-find films give voice to the arts and experience of diverse American groups. They are streamed on the website together with background materials that highlight the history and aesthetic importance of the traditions and the films.
