Act One Theatre School
Since 1986, ACT ONE Theatre School, located in the North Hills, has offered Pittsburgh area students the finest foundations in theater education, providing a comprehensive, student oriented program which develops skills, fosters creativity and provides success experiences for all involved. The school year program consists of a semester of process-oriented classes focusing on skill development, and a semester of production-oriented classes focusing on the presentation of a fully-produced musical. Offers summer camp.
Carnegie Mellon University School of Drama
Future theater professionals train in the oldest degree-granting drama program in the United States, offering comprehensive, professional training since its foundation in 1914. A nationally known program. They offer numerous theater performances throughout the year.

Point Park University: Conservatory of Performing Arts
As one of the top programs of its kind in the nation, the Conservatory combines hands-on experience and rigorous training with internationally recognized master teachers, directors, producers, writers and choreographers.

University of Pittsburgh Department of Theatre Arts
The Department of Theatre Arts (founded in 1982) at the University of Pittsburgh offers the B.A., M.A., M.F.A., and Ph.D. degrees in Theatre Arts. Offers theater productions to the public at the Pitt Repertory Theatre, performing in the Stephen Foster Memorial building.
