Library Databases
Students can search the TFS databases for scholarships, grants, and other forms of financial aid, including athletic scholarships. When registering, new users should select "Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh" as their school.

Pittsburgh Promise
If you've attended Pittsburgh Public Schools from 9th to 12th grades, have a 2.5 GPA and 90% attendance record, you may be eligible for a scholarship of up to $5,000 to go towards tuition and expenses at a Pennsylvania college or university. -
PHEAA
The Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency offers a wide range of services, from general financial aid advice, to FAFSA and loan application assistance, to directly awarding grant money to qualifying PA residents.

This is probably the most well-known scholarship database on the Internet. Register an account and Fastweb can search its database for you, notifying you when it finds awards that match your profile. It includes aid for graduate students, as well as internship and employment opportunities. -
FAFSA
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid can now be completed entirely online. All students wanting financial aid for college, even from sources other than the federal government, will need to fill out this form. There are a few supporting documents needed to complete it, such as tax records, so be sure to click on Before Beginning a FAFSA first. -
FinAid
FinAid is published by the makers of FastWeb. It's a thorough, free resource that can answer nearly any question a student might have about loans, scholarships, tuition savings plans, and other forms of aid. And if you can't find what you're looking for on their site, you can contact them directly. -
