• Regional Internship Center of Southwestern Pennsylvania
  The Regional Internship Center (RIC) of SWPA has been created with the help of the Three Rivers Workforce Investment Board to increase the number of internships and to create a centralized internship system in the region. The RIC actively works with employers, assists them in developing internship programs and connects them to potential interns and regional colleges and universities.

  The Pittsburgh Technology Council and Loud Mountain have created a resource for business and technology careers.

Employers

• Duquesne University Undergraduate Research Program
  The Duquesne University Undergraduate Research Program is funded by the Bayer School of Natural and Environmental Sciences, the Mylan School of Pharmacy, the National Science Foundation and the departments and faculty of the University. This program is open to non-Duquesne students.
• Magee-Womens Research Institute College Student Summer Internship Program
  This program provides students with the opportunity to participate in research projects of either basic science or clinical orientation. The ultimate goal of the program is to promote interest in biomedical research as a potential career. They also offer an internship program for high school students.
• Pittsburgh CLO Internship Program
  The CLO (Civic Light Opera) offers internships in such areas as choreography, costumes, direction, lighting design, public relations, stage management, etc.
• Pittsburgh Tissue Engineering Initiative: Summer Internship Program (SIP)
  The Summer Internship Program provides paid internships for undergraduate college students who are currently enrolled in or are graduating seniors of an undergraduate program, pursuing careers in medicine, research, bioengineering, computer science, the natural sciences or related fields.
• Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium
  The Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium offers internships in Animal Husbandry, Horticulture, Research, Marketing and many other areas to students at any level who are at least 18 years of age.
• UPMC Student Opportunities
  UPMC offers non-clinical internships and entry level jobs for college students and recent graduates in the health sciences, finance/accounting, pharmacy, information technology, human resources, marketing, etc.

• Pennsylvania Cable Network

• Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection: Professional Internships
  Available to current full-time bachelor's and master's degree students. A wide range of opportunities are available and some internships are paid.
• Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission Internship Program
  Internships are designed to supplement formal education of undergraduate and graduate students interested in a career in public history.
• Pennsylvania Newspaper Association Foundation Internship Guide
  Information about internships available at member newspapers throughout the state.
• Pennsylvania State House of Representatives Legislative Fellowship Program
  This 13-week program is open to college seniors and second semester juniors from the 14 state-owned and four state-related universities. Fellows can receive classroom credit and a monthly stipend of $1216 is provided.
• Shaver's Creek Environmental Center Internship Program
  Located in central Pennsylvania, this is a program administered by Penn State University and includes housing and a stipend. The goal of the program is to prepare students for a career in cultural/natural history and environmental education professions.

  PLEN is a national consortium of women’s colleges promoting the education of women for public leadership. They offer a variety of internships and seminars.
