A book of newspaper clippings from various locations, addressing musical matters, and a few critiques of summer travel in the New England area. Authors of most are unknown; several early ones are signed "Fidelio."
First small clipping is titled "Ruskin’s Advice to a Student" in Edinburgh in 1854 which ends: "To do as much as you can healthily and happily do each day in a well determined direction, with view to far off results, and with present employment of one’s work, is the only proper, the only essentially profitable way."
