Carnegie and Frick a Bitter Partnership

It was probably about 10 years ago when I was browsing the shelf looking for something interesting to read when the book title Meet You in Hell grabbed my attention. I have always been interested in history, especially local history, so after reading the description I knew this was a book I wanted to read. The book details the relationship between Henry Clay Frick , Andrew Carnegie, and the Homestead Strike. When people ask me for a history book recommendation I almost always recommend Meet You in Hell. So you can image how excited I was to find out that Meet You in Hell was being recorded on to digital book right here in the recording studio at the Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped. Meet You in Hell is now available to download on BARD and available to order on digital book. Author Les Standiford details the relationship between Carnegie and Frick and their handling of the Homestead strike. Standiford provides great detail into the events that would ultimately lead to the strike and the aftermath of the event. I would recommend Meet You in Hell to anyone interested in learning more about Pennsylvania history and the Homestead strike.
