The Allegheny County Area Agency on Aging (ACAAA) offers programs and services for older adults ranging from the more independent to those who are frail and require assistance to remain at home. By calling the SeniorLine (412) 350-5460, you can reach professional care managers who can assist with information and referral on ACAAA services and community programs.
Beaver County Office on Aging
Federal funds and state lottery dollars are received by the Pennsylvania Department of Aging. This money, along with local funds, is channeled through BCOA to reach the senior citizen consumers 60 and over.

Older & Wiser is a public service project jointly sponsored by the 14-county Southwestern Pennsylvania Legal Services Consortium and local state legislators to present free legal information seminars on matters of special importance to elderly adults and their families.

National Institute on Aging
One of the 25 institutes and centers of the National Institutes of Health, The NIA leads a broad scientific effort to understand the nature of aging and to extend the healthy, active years of life. Their website includes "The Resource Directory for Older People", a cooperative effort of the NIA and the Administration on Aging (AoA). It lists Federal agencies, AoA-supported resource centers, professional societies, private groups, and volunteer programs.
Senior Corps is a network of programs that tap the experience, skills, and talents of older citizens to meet community challenges. Through its three programs – Foster Grandparents, Senior Companions, and RSVP (the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program) – more than half a million Americans age 55 and over assist local nonprofits, public agencies, and faith-based organizations in carrying out their missions. Senior Corps, part of the USA Freedom Corps, is administered by the Corporation for National and Community Service.
