  • Arthritis Foundation, Western Pennsylvania Chapter
    Covering the 19 counties of Western Pennsylvania, the Arthritis Foundation offers programs and services to those with arthritis, including an Arthritis Self-Help Course, a Home Assessment Program, exercise classes, and support and education groups.
  • Late Life Depression Evaluation and Treatment Center
    The Late-Life Depression Evaluation and Treatment Center at the University of Pittsburgh provides information and treatment for depression, anxiety disorders, and insomnia in older Americans.
  • Life Pittsburgh

    The mission of the University of Pittsburgh's "Center for Healthy Aging" is to promote healthy lifestyles and disease prevention in the older adult population of Allegheny County, Pennsylvania through education, research, and public service.
  • University of Pittsburgh Institute on Aging
    The Institute on Aging strives to improve the health and well-being of the elderly by linking and enhancing research, education, and clinical programs offered by the University of Pittsburgh, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, and other private and public institutions. The Institute offers a 24-hour information and service referral telephone number to provide information on medical care and treatment, hospitals, home care and long-term care, social services, insurance, housing, caregiver support, legal services, and research studies.
 

Pennsylvania

  • PACE (Pharmaceutical Assistance Contract for the Elderly)
    A program of the Pennsylvania Department of Aging that assists eligible elderly Pennsylvania residents with the cost of their prescription medications.
  • Pennsylvania Dental Association: Senior Dental Care Program
    The Senior Dental Care Program offers reduced-cost dental care to eligible Pennsylvania senior citizens by dentists who are members of the Pennsylvania Dental Association.
  • Pennsylvania Department of Aging
    The only state agency in Pennsylvania whose single duty is serving people 60 years of age or older and their families. Through their statewide network of 52 Area Agencies on Aging (including the one for Allegheny Count), they provide as many as 50 benefits and services to older Pennsylvanians.
