• INROADS
  Career Development in Business and Industry for Talented Minorities. Pittsburgh has a local affiliate.
• NEED
  Begun as the Negro Educational Emergency Drive, NEED is a non-profit organization providing "last dollar" financial assistance and educational counseling to high school seniors with limited means seeking higher education.
• PACE Opportunities Program (POP)
  The PACE (Program to Aid Citizen Enterprise) Opportunities Program is an after school program that serves students 14-21 years of age who reside in Allegheny County. It offers one-to-one academic tutoring, SAT Preparation classes, college and corporate tours, personal development workshops and career assessment and planning services.

  The Urban League offers programs in education and youth development.

• FinAid: Financial Aid for Minority Students
  focuses on information about scholarships and fellowships for minority students
• HBCUConnect (Historically Black Colleges and Universities)
  striving to be a cohesive link between all Historically Black Colleges and Universities worldwide
• I Have a Dream Foundation
  comprehensive, long-term local educational support programs that adopt entire grades from elementary schools, or entire age-groups from public housing developments and work to see that each child graduates from high school functionally literate and prepared either for fulfilling employment or for further education.
• MOLIS: The Minority On-Line Information System
  MOLIS provides a free source of information about Historically Black Colleges and Universities and Hispanic-Serving Institutions.
• National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering
  NACME's mission is to increase the representation of African Americans, Latinos and American Indians in the nation's engineering profession. Includes the nation's largest privately funded source of scholarships for minority engineering students
• The National Alliance of Black School Educators (NABSE)
  The nation's premier organization of distinguished educators dedicated to improving the educational accomplishments of African American youth through the development and deployment of instructional and motivational methods which increase levels of inspiration, attendance and overall achievement.
• National Institutes of Health Undergraduate Scholarship Program
  Offers competitive scholarships to students from disadvantaged backgrounds who are committed to careers in biomedical research.
• Quality Education for Minorities (QEM) Network
  established in July 1990, as a non-profit organization in Washington, D.C., dedicated to improving education for minorities throughout the nation. Programs, internships available for high school, college and graduate students.
• United Negro College Fund
  Their mission is to enhance the quality of education by providing financial assistance to deserving students, raising operating funds for member colleges and universities, and increasing access to technology for students and faculty at historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs).
• The Washington Center
  Minority Leaders Fellowship Program is a national competitive leadership program that enables selected participants to explore issues of leadership, develop professional skills, and investigate various aspects of governance and citizenship, in both theory and practice, in Washington, D.C. for credit. Also the Minority Internships in Congress which are semester-long work-study internships in congressional offices.
