Letting Go of Lisa by Lurlene McDaniel
Letting Go of Lisa by Lurlene McDaniel
Nathan has been home schooled his whole life. For his senior year, his mom sends him to public school for the first time. On the first day of school, a girl on a motorcycle catches his eye and Nathan is automatically interested. That same girl appears in his English class. Her name is Lisa.
Lisa is the toughest girl in the school, and EVERYONE is scared of her; boys and girls. But, Nathan is determined to get to know her. Slowly but surely, Nathan starts to get to Lisa, and they start spending time together. Nathan can tell Lisa likes him, but she always tries to put up a front for basically every aspect of her life.
One day, Lisa decides to tell Nathan a tragic confession. Lisa warns Nathan that she doesn’t want him to get into it, and to keep his distance, but can Nathan handle letting go of Lisa?
*I would definitely recommend this book to anyone because it’s a great story about breaking down barriers and getting to know a person that you would never think of being close to
