Since getting her heart broken and humiliated by the boy she loved the most was too much to handle, Amy decided to move to her aunt’s out in the country for her senior year of high school. Amy was lost.. in more ways than one. She knew no one at her new school, she couldn’t relate to anyone, and was used to the city, not the country. But, one day, Amy met Henry across the clearing in her aunt’s backyard.
Amy met Henry because she finally dared to cross the intensely thick white fog to see what was on the other side. Surprisingly, there was another house by her aunt’s trailer, and a family was living there! Amy immediately connected to Henry and thought he was the nicest man she has ever met in her life. Amy went back home to aunt and asked her why she didn’t tell her Henry lived by them and Amy’s aunt had no clue what she was talking about.
Turns out, Henry Briggs is from the past, from the year 1944. One night, Henry made a wish that basically came true.. in a twisted way. Now, Henry and his family have been living the same summer over and over again for a number of years. Henry is the only one that notices this, and is getting tired of living in the past
This book shows just how many obstacles can get in the way of true love.. but also, that if you truly love somebody… their differences do not matter.
*This book was definitely one of my favorite books! It has a unique plot and a great storyline and the fact that Henry lives in the past puts a huge twist on things. It’s a very interesting read and you won’t want to put it down
