Chidi’s Virtual Reading Corner!

Cover of Good Place Season 1 DVD. Michael and Eleanor sit together on a yellow couch

I was surprised by the TV show The Good Place. A friend who has crazy taste in all things recommended it to me, so I was intrigued. It’s a sitcom, which is rare these days. Even rarer, it’s a sitcom that talks about books a lot. Stranger still, many of those books are volumes of philosophy. The show is funny without being mean, it’s clever without being annoying, and it’s sweet without being silly.

One of the best parts of the show for me is the character of Chidi Anagonye. Chidi was a moral philosophy professor in his life on earth, and, without giving too much away, he gets into some moral philosophy in the show. So in that spirit, I offer you a virtual version of Chidi’s Reading Corner!

Below are all of the books mentioned in season one of The Good Place. Be sure to check out the show and the books.

Enjoy!
