Cindy Gerber is a principal partner in the commercial real estate firm of Gerber & Gerber, LLC and the head of the Cindy & Murry Gerber Foundation. She is also labor and employment attorney who maintained a private practice from 1991 through 2009. In her early career Cindy was an associate attorney at the Pittsburgh law firm of Thorp, Reed and Armstrong. From 2002-2009, Cindy was a partner in the Pittsburgh labor law firm of Healey and Hornack, P.C. Her practice was in the areas of union/management relations, executive employment agreements, pension and benefit matters and employment litigation. In 2010, Cindy became the Chief Deputy Public Defender of Allegheny County, where she managed labor relations and employment matters for the attorneys and staff. Cindy retired from the position to engage in commercial real estate ventures and to establish a family foundation.
A native of Beaver County, Pennsylvania, Cindy was raised in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. She is an honors graduate of the Florida State University, with a degree in International Economics. Cindy also graduated with honors from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. She holds a professional certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), and has been a noted speaker in the area of labor and employment law for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and the National Employment Lawyers Association.
