It’s the perfect time of year to read something creepy. Check out "His Hideous Heart," a collection of stories inspired by Edgar Allan Poe’s work.

As a children's and teen librarian, I am baring the truth of the last four adult books I read. Maybe if you start to read one of these titles, you’ll break your own reading mold too!

Check out an energetic graphic novel, a poetic pep talk, a compact chapter book from one of Pittsburgh’s own and a collection of short stories.

It is a breath of Victorian Era London air.  She perfectly captures the characters and the tone of the stories.  I would highly recommend her to any Sherlock Holmes fan.
