LDA of PA is excited to offer its Early Literacy Tutoring program for students in kindergarten through second grade at CLP – Hill District and CLP – Brookline. Pairing up to four students per tutor and utilizing multi-sensory reading tutoring techniques, this program teaches reading, spelling, and handwriting in fun, interactive, and multisensory ways. The curriculum includes sight words, sound mastery, letter formation, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, reading comprehension, the alphabetic principle, and more.  

Summer tutoring runs from June 16 to August 6, 2025. Our program offers sessions twice a week. Students that need reading support at specific grade levels can join fun and interactive classes:  

At CLP – Hill District we offer tutoring on Mondays and Wednesdays.

• 3:15-4pm: Kindergarten, 2nd grade
• 4:15-5pm: 1st and 2nd grade

At CLP – Brookline we offer tutoring Tuesday and Fridays.  

• 3:15-4pm: Kindergarten, 2nd grade
• 4:15-5pm: 1st and 2nd grade

Students will be expected to attend 2 sessions per week at their chosen library to make significant progress in their literacy skills. Reading tutoring will continue during the school year and is tentatively going to start on Sept 8th. Registration is required.
