The University of Pittsburgh Gamelan is a student ensemble dedicated to the study and performance of the traditional and contemporary music of West Java, Indonesia. The large ensemble consists predominantly of percussion instruments, including tuned gongs, metal-keyed instruments, and drums. Come learn about the music and culture of West Java through an interactive musical experience. This event is being held in the South Wing Reading Room.
