Book Discussions

Page Turners: Book Discussion Group

Main (Oakland)

Join us for lively discussions of contemporary fiction, non-fiction and other notable books! All are welcome. Discussions are free and open to the public. No registration is necessary. We will usually have copies of the current month’s book available for you to check out at the Ask a Librarian desk on the First Floor.

Discussions are held on the third Thursday of the month from 1 to 2 p.m. and again from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Graphic Novels Room on the First Floor of the Main Library.

January’s book selection is This is How It Always Is by Laurie Frankel. — A family reshapes their ideas about family, love and loyalty when youngest son Claude reveals increasingly determined preferences for girls’ clothing and accessories and refuses to stay silent.
