Book Discussions

Rainbow Reading Group: An LGBTQIA+ Book Discussion Group

Main (Oakland)

Join us to discuss contemporary and classic LGBTQIA+ fiction and nonfiction.

Discussions are free and open to the public. No registration is necessary. We usually have copies of the current month’s book available for you to check out at the Ask a Librarian desk on the First Floor.

Discussions are held in the Director’s Conference Room on the First Floor of the Main Library on the fourth Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m. This book group meets every month, except for November and December.

August’s book selection is The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue by Mackenzi Lee – Two friends on a Grand Tour of 18th-century Europe stumble across a magical artifact that leads them from Paris to Venice in a dangerous manhunt shaped by pirates, highwaymen and their growing attraction to one another.
