Red Herring Book Club: Mystery Book Discussion Group

Main (Oakland)

Join us for lively discussions of contemporary and classic mystery novels! Discussions are free and open to the public. No registration is necessary. We usually have copies of the current month’s book available for you to check out at the Ask a Librarian desk on the First Floor.

Discussions are held in the Graphic Novels Room on the First Floor of the Main Library on the third Friday of the month at 1 p.m. This book group meets monthly from March through November.

The theme for August through November 2019 is Best Mystery Debuts of 2018.

October’s book selection is Sweet Little Lies by Caz Frear – A London policewoman from a troubled family is forced to investigate dark secrets in her estranged father’s past to solve the murder of a young housewife and the disappearance of a teen girl years earlier.
