This free class is designed for people who are thinking about starting a nonprofit organization and those who have recently incorporated.  Our speaker, Jeffrey Fromknecht, MSW, co-founder and Managing Attorney of Side Project, Inc., will provide an overview of the legal aspects of forming a nonprofit corporation and obtaining tax-exempt status, specifically focusing on the top legal issues that most founders have questions about.  These issues include corporate entity selection and incorporation, applying for tax-exempt status, executive compensation, fundraising legal issues, and on-going state and federal compliance requirements.
