Vivian Ann Davidson Hewitt Lecture with Kelvin Watson

Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh welcomes Kelvin Watson, Executive Director, Las Vegas-Clark County Library District as this year’s Vivian Ann Davidson Hewitt guest lecturer. In his role, Watson oversees 25 branches run by 600+ employees and has brought innovative, award-winning leadership to Nevada’s largest library system. Regarded as one of the most highly respected thought leaders in the library industry, he is credited with expanding his customer base in multiple library management roles through outreach efforts to underserved and diverse populations. A Q&A and reception will follow the lecture.

Registration is encouraged. This event takes place in the Lecture Hall from 6 pm – 7:30 pm.

All attendees are invited to attend a reception following the lecture in the South Wing Reading Room from 7:30 pm-8:30 pm featuring hands-on activities, opportunities to learn about CLP’s career exploration resources, and refreshments.

This event is recommended for adults, as well as middle and high school students. This in-person event will be recorded for later viewing.
