Did you know that your library card gets you access to thousands of online courses? You can develop new skills in areas such as web design, computer programming, accounting, even painting, crocheting, and more. Explore resources Creativebug, Lynda.com, and Udemy!

To access any of these resources, first go to www.carnegielibrary.org and find the ‘Research’ tab along the top of the page. From there, search for any of these collections by name and click ‘Find.’


Creativebug

Develop new hobbies with Creativebug! Access Creativebug with your library card and PIN, and create a free account to log in. Creativebug offers more than 1,000 videos tutorials on crafting and art, utilizing a wide variety of mediums. Get pointers on screen printing or explore new sewing techniques. Recycle old materials into a framed work of art or learn the basics of painting – just click to get started!

Lynda.com

Lynda.com is a collection of video tutorials similar to Creativebug, but with a much wider variety of subject material. Access Lynda.com directly with your library card and PIN.

On Lynda.com you can learn computer programming languages, the basics of web design, and digital marketing. You can also explore business areas such as accounting and finance. Lynda can help you learn about social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. You can even explore more artistic areas on Lynda, such as writing, photo editing, and video production. Udemy

Udemy is our biggest and most business-oriented resource with over 6,000 online courses. You can access Udemy with just your library card number.

Udemy’s courses cover a huge variety of topics, such as Personal Development, Office Productivity, Data Science, Sales, IT Operations, and more. Udemy can be a great resource to anyone with an interest in business, as well as professionals already working in the field. Log in and start exploring!
