Digging Deep

Logo shows the words, "For Kids" in bold text surrounded by stars.

It’s never too early to learn self-care skills. Whether kids are dealing with major or minor issues, it’s helpful to know that something as simple as taking a few deep breaths can make things better. (At least a little bit.)

Remembering to take those breaths—and the time necessary to settle ourselves and make some good decisions about what to do next—can be challenging, even for adults. Checking out the titles below reminds us all that we have choices about how we respond to the everyday anxieties, accidents and disappointments that come our way.

And just for fun, we’ve included a few titles about other deep things: a young girl and her family deep in the desert; a deep hole, deep in the jungle; a buried bone and what can be found deep inside our planet.
