Gothic Horror for the Whole Family

Adult fans of “Nosferatu,” “Wuthering Heights,” and “The Haunting of Hill House” (among others) who want to share some of the thrills and chills with the little ones in their lives WITHOUT giving anybody nightmares can look no further than this list.

Choosing books that grownups can be excited about too will help foster a life-long love of learning in young children. Taking the time to read with kids and modeling passion and enthusiasm for reading will encourage print motivation, an important early literacy skill, in young children.

So cuddle up and check out this Gothic horror-inspired booklist full of ghosts, vampires, and other (not-so) creepy crawlies together.
