Women in Disability Rights

As with other civil rights movements, the Disability Rights Movement and Women’s Rights Movement march on; there is always progress to be made. And sometimes, the challenges of being a woman are compounded by the challenges of being disabled, and vice versa.

In these frank, intersectional memoirs, women who took a stand for disability rights explore disability, femininity, accessibility, race and, ultimately, empowerment.
