YA Grab Bag: Genre Defying Books

Getting stuck in a genre? Not sure what you want to read? One cure is to choose a book that blurs genre boundaries.Jane, Unlimited” and “Opposite of Always” re-start at least twice, which is more satisfying than it may sound at first. “Loving vs. Virginia” expertly combines storytelling, primary sources, poetry and illustration.The Rest of Us Just Live Here” feels like an indie film within a dystopian narrative, while “Stronger, Faster, and More Beautiful” found me copying down prose quotes and re-reading passages just to savor the strangeness.
