Summer Reading 2016

Congratulations, Pittsburgh! Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh challenged the City to read 90,000 books this summer to celebrate Pittsburgh's 90 neighborhoods. You already exceeded the goal!

Let’s see how many books we can read by August 31! Here’s how:

  • Sign up and start reading! Log every book, eBook or audiobook that you read this summer.
  • Spread the word. Use #PGHREADS to post or tweet about your summer reading experience and to check out what others are saying (and reading).
  • Enjoy what you read. Tweet @CarnegieLibrary with #MyNextRead for a personalized book recommendation from our Librarians, or sign up for emails from the Library to receive monthly staff picks and updates on events and news at the Library.

Reading means prizes instead of book reports; relaxing at the pool with the book everyone is talking about; trying out a new cookbook and checking out downloadable books to make long car rides more enjoyable.
