Inspire Someone Today!
I am inspired by the man tucked away at a desk in the corner studying for his aviation license. I am inspired by the woman learning a new language. I am inspired by the child getting help with their reading skills from a Reading Buddy at their local CLP branch. Last year, nearly three million people visited the Library in the effort to learn something new, make their lives better or to be part of something bigger than themselves. Simply, to be inspired.
This is Your Library: Help Us Make It Even Better
After Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday comes Giving Tuesday! We couldn’t do what we do without you. Please consider kicking off the charitable season with a donation to YOUR Library!
Things To Be Thankful For – Library Edition
I always get a little introspective this time of year (in between helpings of mashed potatoes and stuffing). So, here are just a few reasons why I am so thankful for the Library.
Run for Your Library
Sure, the Pittsburgh Marathon is still six months away (and there’s still The Season of Pumpkin Spice Everything, the upcoming holidays, and the doldrums of a ‘Burgh winter to get through), but we’re already forming our team of participants who have committed to run and raise money for the Library.
Thrive
So far, so good: every day Pittsburghers rely on the Library for computer access, educational programs for children and teens, support for adult goals and dreams, and help finding a good book, CD, or movie.
