Winter Reading Challenge Success!

Our first county-wide Winter Reading Challenge is in the books! In January and February, people of all ages from across Allegheny County weathered the cold by diving into reading.

Over 1,600 readers logged a total of 14,131 books. Wow!

All participants were eligible to win one of ten $25 Target gift cards. Some libraries offered additional prizes.

The winners of the ten gift cards were a mix of youth and adults from the following libraries:

  • Christy, Community Library of Castle Shannon
  • Monica, Pleasant Hills Public Library
  • Tavis, Avalon Public Library
  • Anna, CLP – Main (Oakland)
  • Kristie, CLP – East Liberty
  • Cathey, Monroeville Public Library
  • Jase, Plum Borough Community Library
  • Alicia, Crafton Public Library
  • Simon, Mt. Lebanon Public Library
  • Syble, Community Library of Allegheny Valley

Thank you to everyone who joined in and made the Winter Reading Challenge a success!
