A World of Book Series

I’ve recently discovered that I have a problem…with book series. I keep track of all the books I’ve read on Goodreads, and thank goodness Goodreads exists, because I have read a lot of books. I’ve been able to categorize all the books I’ve read, and many of them fall into my “Series” shelf. So one day I decided to go through that shelf and see how many I had actually finished. I have a total of over 165 series and out of ALL those, I’ve finished a measly 34. That’s only 20%!

Now maybe some of you are sitting there reading and thinking “165?! That’s a lot!” or maybe “20% is still a decent amount!” (these are things I like to hope people are thinking). But my actual problem is which one to finish first. I’ve decided that I am going to complete all 165 in progress, but I’d appreciate some advice on where to start. So here are my top 3 series that I’m currently leaning toward.

The Girl in the Steel Corset - Steampunk Chronicles series

The first is the Steampunk Chronicles by Kady Cross. It’s YA with a historical aspect, it takes place in the 1800s, and it features a powerful female lead with a little bit of sci-fi/fantasy mixed in.

As Red As Blood - Lumikki Anderson series

The second is the Lumikki Andersson series by Salla Simukka. This series is also known as the “Snow White Trilogy”; it’s a rewriting of the Snow White tale, but with the mob, mystery and murder. It’s also been translated from Finnish.

An Unsuitable Job For A Woman - Cordelia Gray series

The final one is the Cordelia Gray series by P.D. James. These are mysteries (so far there are only two books, though).

So which of these do you think I should finish up first? Are there any series you LOVE and think I should add to my list? Leave a comment below.
