Music Special Collections

The Music Department at CLP – Main houses historical material related to music groups, organizations and societies, educators, conductors, composers and musicians in Pittsburgh, PA and the surrounding area. Collections include vinyl records, original correspondence, music manuscripts, concert programs, oral histories, newspaper clippings, photographs, sheet music, and scrapbooks.

Music Research Databases

The Music Department offers a wide range of streaming music and research databases. A complete list can be found on the Music Research Resources page.

STACKS

STACKS is Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh’s collection of music from local Pittsburgh artists. Tracks are available to stream or download with a library card.
