Carolyn Hess Abraham has been involved with Carnegie Library board since 2008 and has been active in a variety of nonprofits since moving to Pittsburgh in 1987.

Professionally, Carolyn has held several roles at Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business. She spent 12 years teaching undergraduates as Adjunct Professor of Business Management, moved on to MBA Admissions and is now Executive Director, Corporate and Foundation Relations, charged with developing educational partnerships and raising money from corporations, foundations and individuals to support the Business School. Carolyn holds an MBA in finance from Columbia University and AB in economics and international relations from Brown University.
