Deborah Moss is a pediatrician who has been in practice for over 25 years at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. As faculty in the Division of General Academic Pediatrics and Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Pittsburgh, she has focused on advancing pediatric care through leadership in education, translation of evidence into practice, and training of pediatric providers. Her longstanding commitment to address upstream factors to improve child health includes promoting literacy; her clinic participates in the Reach Out and Read program. She holds additional roles as a Pediatric Medical Director at UPMC Health Plan, a past President of the Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and currently serves on the boards of Pennsylvania Partnerships for Children and Amachi Pittsburgh.

Dr. Moss earned her undergraduate degree in history from Cornell University and her medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School. She completed her pediatric residency at the UPMC Children’s Hospital and her master’s degree in public health at the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health.
