James Hill is the Manager of District Properties & Government Affairs for the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust. He works to foster productive relations between the Trust and all levels of government to serve the countless guests who frequent the Cultural District.

He began his career in the administration of Mayor William Peduto where he served for two terms as the Executive Assistant to the Mayor, and briefly as Acting Press Secretary. In those roles, he managed public events, coordination of mayoral ceremonies, correspondence and legislation, special projects, and City social media and press. In 2019, the City Council confirmed his nomination as a member of the Historic Review Commission. He is also a member of the P3R Pittsburgh Marathon Board.

He is a life-long Pittsburgher, having grown up in Pittsburgh’s Hill District and Highland Park neighborhoods. He is an active volunteer in neighborhoods across the city, with particular time spent in the Pittsburgh Public Schools. A proud graduate of Schenley High School, he spent many an afternoon at the Main, Hill District, and East Liberty libraries.

He presently resides in Manchester and is a graduate of Point Park University.
