Disability Pride PA presents Disability Etiquette Training

July 30 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Group of adult friends in conversation
Disability Etiquette Training is essential training for anyone working or volunteering. The purpose of this workshop is to provide important information regarding the disability community and culture. Some of the topics we will cover include:
  • Appropriate language to use when communicating with persons with disabilities
  • Proper etiquette to use when interacting with people with disabilities
  • Access and accommodation issues
  • Civil rights of people with disabilities
We hope that this overview of disability issues will heighten your awareness and be useful when you interact with persons with disabilities. Our goal is to demystify disability and to examine it simply as a diversity issue.
This event is part of our Disability Pride Month 2024 programming.
