Celebrate Remake Learning Days at CLP’s Teenspaces!

Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh is part of the Remake Learning Network: a group of organizations who strive to make learning engaging, relevant and equitable. To celebrate 2023’s Remake Learning Days (May 4 – 23) CLP has a number of Teen Times where teens can program Sphero robots, create digital art, LED clouds and Suminagashi (Japanese marble paper). These programs are for teens in grades 6 through 12.

Design your own Teenspace-T

Explore digital art with the App Procreate to create your very own Teenspace “T”.

LED Cloud Lamps:

Harness the power of electricity and make a light-up cloud.

Code Your Own Pong Game

Learn how to code and recreate the first video game ever made!

Sphero Robot Games:

Learn how to program a robot and complete a series of challenges using the Sphero Robot.

Suminagashi (Japanese paper marbling)

What’s Suminagashi? It’s a Japanese art form where you combine water and paint to create beautiful, marbled paper. Learn how at this Teen Time!

Can’t make it to one of these Teen Times? We have you covered! Teen Times happen every week, so check out our events page to find a Teen Time that works for you. Also, our Teenspaces always have plenty of creative things to do, stop by and see what’s happening anytime we’re open.

If there’s a K-5th grader in your family, check out the Kids Clubs we have happening during Remake Learning Days here!
