I am stressed out right now. I don’t know what day it is. I’m eating like a baby with money. I spend half my day trying to remember what I was about to do. I’m trying to work, organize, clean, drink water, exercise, stay connected, follow a skincare routine, eat healthy and take my vitamins. Meanwhile, if I brush my teeth and eat a piece of fruit, I consider my day a roaring success. I am in dire need of a laugh.

Enter Matthew Inman, creator of “The Oatmeal” webcomic and humor site. Filled with comics, quizzes and occasional articles, “The Oatmeal” is home to such comics as “Why the Mantis Shrimp is My New Favorite Animal” and “How to Pet a Kitty.” (Note: The trick is to look in their eyes: Do you see empathy…or murder?)

Imagine my delight to discover all five of his books in the “Always Available” section of Overdrive! I decided this was just the excuse I needed to stay in my robe and have Cheetos for breakfast!
